About Rothes II

Rothes II is an onshore wind farm in Grampian, Scotland, with 42 MW of registered generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit. It is the 114th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Fred. Olsen Renewables. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since it was added to the list in October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Rothes II as operational since April 2013, with 18 turbines of 2.3 MW.
