What this checks
Paid reports from ΨMonkey (thermal bridging, IDs TB-…), WaterMonkey (Part G,
WM-…), SoakMonkey (BRE 365 soakaways, SM-…), GlazeMonkey (Part L
extensions, GM-…), RenoMonkey (Part L renovation,
RM-…), O-Monkey (Part O overheating, OM-…), NutrientMonkey
(nutrient neutrality, NM-…) and U-Monkey's condensation risk assessment
(CR-…) are registered with us automatically when they are produced, together with a
cryptographic fingerprint of the exact PDF produced. A matching ID confirms that a report of
that type was produced with our software and registered on that date, for that project
reference. Adding the PDF confirms the file you're holding hasn't been altered since — every
byte is checked.
An O-Monkey report also keeps the design it was made from. The check then offers to open it in O-Monkey, read-only, so the rooms and windows can be compared with the drawings, and changes tried on a copy without touching the report. Reports stay verifiable for 15 years from the date they were issued.
What it does not check: whether the inputs describe the building as designed or built, or whether the design meets the Building Regulations. Each report is a calculation of what was entered by whoever produced it, and that judgement stays with the designer and building control. A report carrying a practice's own name and logo was produced by that practice with our software.

If a report doesn't verify and you believe it should, email mail@energycount.co.uk with the ID and we'll look into it. Reports issued before July 2026 predate the registry and won't be found here — contact us and we'll verify those manually.
