About Hadyard Hill

Hadyard Hill is an onshore wind farm in Strathclyde, Scotland, with 117 MW of generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit: Elexon registers it at 130 MW, but SSE gives it 117 MW, and that is the capacity this page uses. It is the 51st largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by SSE. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

Hadyard Hill has sent no power since 19 December 2025, when it was taken offline after a technical fault was found; its latest notice to the market (October 2026) expects its turbines back in service between November 2026 and March 2027. The league table lists it without a rank while it sends no power.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Hadyard Hill as operational since May 2006, with 52 turbines of 2.3 MW.
