About Griffin

Griffin is an onshore wind farm in Tayside, Scotland, with 206 MW of registered generating capacity across 2 balancing mechanism units. It is the 39th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by SSE. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Griffin as operational since February 2012. SSE gives it 68 turbines of 2.3 MW.
