About Gordonbush

Gordonbush is an onshore wind farm in Highland, Scotland, with 72 MW of generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit: Elexon registers it at 87 MW, but SSE gives it 72 MW, and that is the capacity this page uses. It is the 69th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by SSE. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Gordonbush as operational since June 2012, with 35 turbines of 2 MW.
