About London Array
London Array is an offshore wind farm off the coast of England, with 630 MW of generating capacity across 4 balancing mechanism units: Elexon registers them at 704 MW in all, but London Array gives it 630 MW, and that is the capacity this page uses. It is the 14th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by RWE. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.
The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists London Array as operational since April 2013, with 175 turbines of 3.6 MW.
