About Farr

Farr is an onshore wind farm in Highland, Scotland, with 92 MW of generating capacity across 2 balancing mechanism units: Elexon registers them at 184 MW in all, but Nadara gives it 92 MW, and that is the capacity this page uses. It is the 59th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Nadara. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Farr as operational since October 2005, with 40 turbines of 2.3 MW.
