About Craig

Craig is an onshore wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, with 5 MW of registered generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit. It is the 162nd largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Craig's first phase (four 2.5 MW turbines, operating since October 2007) and a one-turbine extension (2017); Elexon registers this unit as Craig 2, at 4.7 MW, so which of them it carries isn't clear.
