About Halsary

Halsary is an onshore wind farm in Highland, Scotland, with 30 MW of registered generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit. It is the 136th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by ScottishPower. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Halsary as operational since March 2021, with 15 turbines of 2.3 MW, up to 120 m tall to the blade tip.
