About East Anglia Three

East Anglia Three is an offshore wind farm off the coast of England, with 680 MW of registered generating capacity across 2 balancing mechanism units. It is the 12th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by ScottishPower. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since it was added to the list in October 2026 for the chart.

East Anglia Three is still being built: ScottishPower Renewables expects its 95 turbines (1,400 MW) to start operating in late 2026. Elexon registers 680 MW of it so far, and it had sent no power by late October 2026. The league table lists it without a rank until it is running in full.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists East Anglia Three as under construction in the July 2026 edition, with turbines up to 282 m tall to the blade tip. Iberdrola gives it 95 turbines.
