About Aberdeen Bay

Aberdeen Bay is an offshore wind farm off the coast of Scotland, with 99 MW of registered generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit. It is the 57th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Vattenfall. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Aberdeen Bay as operational since September 2018, with 11 turbines of 8.8 MW.
