About Priestgill

Priestgill is an onshore wind farm in Lanarkshire, Scotland, with 44 MW of registered generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit. It is the 109th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Muirhall Energy. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since it was added to the list in October 2026 for the chart.

Priestgill is still being built: Muirhall Energy began building its seven turbines (43.6 MW) in September 2025 and expects it to move from construction to operation later in 2026, and it had sent no power by late October 2026. The league table lists it without a rank until it is running in full.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Priestgill as under construction in the July 2026 edition, with 7 turbines, up to 200 m tall to the blade tip.
