About Aikengall IIa
Aikengall IIa is an onshore wind farm in Borders, Scotland, with 82 MW of generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit: Elexon registers it at 163 MW, but Power Systems UK gives it 82 MW, and that is the capacity this page uses. It is the 64th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Community Windpower. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.
The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Aikengall IIa as operational since November 2021, with 19 turbines of 4.3 MW, up to 145 m tall to the blade tip.
