About Whiteside Hill
Whiteside Hill is an onshore wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, with 28 MW of registered generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit. It is the 142nd largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Vantage RE. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.
The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Whiteside Hill as operational since April 2018. Capital Dynamics gives it 10 turbines of 2.85 MW.
