About Pencloe
Pencloe is an onshore wind farm in East Ayrshire, Scotland, with 81 MW of registered generating capacity across one balancing mechanism unit. It is the 66th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Invenergy. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.
Pencloe has been sending power to the grid since July 2026, up to about 80 MW in a half hour in October by Elexon's metered figures, but its trader's notifications to Elexon, which GridMonkey's live figure comes from, still say 0 MW, so it shows here at 0 MW; Invenergy, which developed it, still describes it as under construction. The league table lists it without a rank until it is running in full.
The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Pencloe as under construction in the July 2026 edition, with 18 turbines of 4.5 MW, up to 150 m tall to the blade tip.
