About Neart na Gaoithe
Neart na Gaoithe is an offshore wind farm off the coast of Scotland, with 448 MW of registered generating capacity across 2 balancing mechanism units. It is the 21st largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by EDF. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.
The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Neart na Gaoithe as operational since July 2025, with 54 turbines of 8 MW, up to 208 m tall to the blade tip.
