About Moray West

Moray West is an offshore wind farm off the coast of Scotland, with 860 MW of registered generating capacity across 4 balancing mechanism units. It is the 9th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Ocean Winds. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Moray West as operational since April 2025, with 60 turbines of 14.7 MW, up to 230 m tall to the blade tip.
