About Inch Cape
Inch Cape is an offshore wind farm off the coast of Scotland, with 1,080 MW of registered generating capacity across 4 balancing mechanism units. It is the 6th largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Red Rock Power and ESB. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.
Inch Cape is still being built and had sent no power by late October 2026: its turbines are due to go out to sea from November 2026, and all 72 to be installed and commissioned by mid-2027. The league table lists it without a rank until it is running in full.
The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Inch Cape as under construction in the July 2026 edition, with 72 turbines of 15 MW. Inch Cape Offshore gives its turbines a height of up to 274 m to the blade tip.
