About Crossdykes

Crossdykes is an onshore wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, with 48 MW of registered generating capacity across 2 balancing mechanism units. It is the 103rd largest of the 163 wind farms in GridMonkey's list of Britain's wind farms that report to Elexon, and is operated or mostly owned by Octopus Energy Generation. Every half hour it tells the grid how much it will generate (its physical notification). That is the live figure above, and GridMonkey has recorded it every half hour since 17 October 2026 for the chart.

The government's Renewable Energy Planning Database lists Crossdykes as operational since June 2021, with 10 turbines of 4.8 MW, up to 177 m tall to the blade tip.
