Window & doorset U-values move to installed size
From 24 March 2027, Approved Document L 2026 requires window and door U-values to be calculated at the actual installed dimensions rather than a standard reference pane. Declared values will generally creep upward — revisit the glazing figures in your SAP 10.3 inputs before they bite.

Nature Restoration Fund: first regulations laid
The first two sets of Nature Restoration Fund regulations were laid before Parliament, paving the way for a pay-a-levy alternative to site-by-site nutrient neutrality. Nothing changes for live applications yet — keep calculating nutrient budgets the Natural England way until the scheme actually opens.

The Future Homes Standard is confirmed: Approved Document L 2026 is published and comes into force 24 March 2027. Tighter fabric targets make thermal bridging carry more weight — default y-values will cost you, so calculated junction Ψ-values become the sensible route.
